Sky Atlantic - House of the Dragon
Released on Sky Atlantic, House of the Dragon is the highly anticipated Game of Thrones prequel set 100 years after the Targaryen conquest. The series delves into the rise and fall of House Targaryen, leading to a brutal war of succession that will change the realm forever.
For season 1, the brief required strict adherence to the assets provided by HBO, ensuring a seamless visual identity. My focus was to highlight two defining elements of the show: fire and dragons.
I was tasked with creating a countdown bumper, using the House of the Dragon font and fire breathing effect, which dramatically falls as the time passes—building anticipation for the series' release.
For Season 2, I wanted to explore a different theme beyond fire and dragons: the clash between the Greens and the Blacks. Many of the campaign’s key visuals featured Alicent Hightower and Rhaenyra Targaryen, representing the two opposing factions. To reflect this divide, I subtly integrated green and black smoke behind each character, symbolizing their rivalry, while fire spark effects added tension and drama. Additionally, I introduced a burning effect and subtle wind movement on each faction’s flag, bringing the visuals to life with a cinematic touch.
