Sky Original - Dreamland

Released on Sky Atlantic in April 2023, Dreamland is a British comedy set in the seaside town of Margate. The series follows three sisters whose lives are suddenly upended when their long-absent sibling unexpectedly returns, stirring up secrets and family tensions.

While the trailer didn’t offer many graphic elements to bring forward, the key art itself was rich with details. I decided to animate specific elements to add depth and movement, making the scene feel more alive. Using the Sky Original glass wipe transition, I seamlessly transitioned from the credits to the graphics. The sky was made 3D and given subtle movement over time, ensuring it felt dynamic rather than static. Additionally, I animated the birds in the sky and on the sand, making them flap their wings and fly in 3D, enhancing the sense of a living, breathing coastal setting.
