Sky Original - Dynamo is Dead

Released on Sky Max in December 2023, Dynamo is Dead is a two-hour special that follows the magician’s journey through conversations with famous celebrities, leading up to a dramatic finale where he puts his life on the line by burying himself alive.

 

For this programme, there were no trailers or but a few assets were available. In particular one depicting Dynamo in a wooden coffin shot in front of a green screen, and a key art of just underground dirt.

Using the underground key art, I created a darkened shadow around the green-screened coffin footage, making it appear as though Dynamo was truly embedded in the dirt, adding depth and realism to the composition. The title art flickers ominously, and I integrated a bespoke voiceover recorded by Dynamo himself to heighten the suspense. As well as made the credit look like it was part of the ground.
