Sky Cinema - Paws of Fury

Released on Sky Cinema in 2022, Paws of Fury is set in a world of anthropomorphic animals, where a dog named Hank embarks on a journey to become a samurai and protect a cat village from a scheming landlord.

For this campaign, we only received a few animated character assets performing different action sequences on a transparent background. Using these, I created two different approaches. In one, two characters run from one end of the screen to the other, leaving behind dirt particles and clouds in their trail, which gradually reveal the bespoke clip, enhanced by sound effects for added impact. In the second, the main character drops from the sky, fights, and eventually falls flat against the TV screen. With an added mirrored effect to the animated character, I created a sense of depth and grounded him to the screen. Then to transition back to the credits, I used his tongue to pull them down, creating a fun saliva trail effect that matched the film’s playful tone.
