Subtle Extra Things Branding
A friend from Melbourne decided to start her own business of luxury picnic and high tea sets. She hired me as a freelancer to help her improve her brand identity and design. Her main focus was the instagram page.
Her requirements: keep the name and the blush pink colours.
Subtle Extra Things BEFORE...
Challenges:
The logo and font was a not as sophisticated as the brand wanted to.
The white circle didn't really add much and the pure black and pure white clashed with the soft pink.
The Highlights images THEME had a different font from the logo, which made the brand slightly inconsistent in look.
Subtle Extra Things AFTER...
Changes:
I used the BODONI font across the logo and all titles, and the GOTHAM font as secondary for readability.
I kept the pink blush pastel colour palette as requested, but added a bit of personality through geometric shapes. This was applied on the business cards.
The instagram highlights are hand-drawn illustrations for each theme, which fit the delicate touch of the brand.
